Our Institution
Vivekanand Balika Inter College was established on 1st July, 2000 in the fond memory of Late Jai Narayan Upadhyay, a great intellectual, enthusiastic scholar and passionate educator. Under the aegis of Shri Vivekanand Shiksha Avam Samaj Sevi Sansthan, Barra-2, Kanpur, Vivekanand Balika Inter College is recognized by U. P. Government, Prayagraj as an 'A' graded school for girls from class IX to Class XII in Science and Art stream only.

I have the privilege to welcome you all to this great temple of learning. This is the prestigious institution in Kanpur that provides unique opportunities for development of the young minds in a secular and conductive atmosphere. This type of atmosphere is the reflection of great vision of the founder of Vivekanand Balika Inter College.
The college maintains a tradition of inculcating human values in the minds of the pupil teachers. We take pains for their physical, mental and intellectual development. The aim of the college is to develop the thinking, analytical and intellectual faculty of the pupil teachers and not to staff their brains with second hand thoughts and ideas. Pupil teachers are enabled to gather the wisdom of the east and west. Education in this college of education is an enjoyable process and not an imposed, dreary and dull syllabus cramming only. We present a unique atmosphere for the pupil teachers.

Our Founder
A hard-working man with extra ordinary skill sets was born in Baror village, Kanpur Dehat. He was not just a professor at "Late Jai Narayan Upadhyay Subhash Smarak Inter College, Saket Nagar, Kanpur", but also one of the greatest teacher of the city. In the year 1982, he got inspired with the thoughts of Swami Vivekanand and established "Shri Vivekanand Siksha Avam Samaj Sevi Sansthan" at Barra, Kanpur. It is still well recognized and famous in the area.
